About

Grange Road Methodist Church
The church is situated on Grange Road up from the traffic lights where Grange Road intersects with Murray Street and St. Paul’s Road. It is on the left coming down Grange Road towards the town centre from Ward Jackson Park and on the right coming up Victoria Road away from the town centre.

We are a family friendly church and everyone is welcome to join us for services. On Sunday afternoons Grace Church use our upstairs hall for worship.

We have a well established Community Centre which has been running for many years.
Our Church Building has got good facilities for the disabled with a lift to access all floors. There is also a baby changing available.

Our Community Centre has lots of different groups running

Art Classes – Sewing Groups – Ladies Choir – Tai Chi – Fitness Classes – Friendship Club – Noah’s Ark parent & toddler plus many other activities.

Over the course of the year we hold various events.

Brief History
What now contains the ‘community rooms’ and the office, was built in 1886 as the church. The present part which is the worship area was built in 1906. The building has been altered a number of times over the years. The Church celebrated 100 years in 2006
